Ultimate guide to tracking brand sentiment in LLMs
Visibility without favorable framing loses deals. How to monitor what models say — and fix the sources that poison answers.
Jan 23 2026
When a prospect asks 'Is this brand reliable?' the answer they get can close or kill the deal. Sentiment tracking is one of the highest-ROI GEO habits because many negative drivers are fixable pages — not frozen training data.
What to track
- Evaluation prompts: support quality, pricing fairness, reliability, 'is it worth it'
- Competitor contrast prompts
- Recurring phrases models use about you
Find the source of the framing
Models often aren't inventing criticism — they're repeating review sites, Reddit threads, or outdated articles. Identify which URLs get retrieved on negative answers. Correct factual errors, solicit legitimate reviews, and add clearer first-party pages for contested claims.
Separate metrics
Don't bury sentiment inside a single visibility score. A brand can be highly visible and poorly framed. Anny tracks sentiment alongside mention rate so weekly reports show both.
Operating cadence
- Weekly scan of evaluation-prompt sentiment
- Ticket any new toxic source
- Outreach or content fix within the sprint
- Confirm the answer tone improves
